Betwext a text message marketing comapny

BETWEXT.COM

Brian invested in Betwext.com as an angel investor.  In addition to providing investment capital, he also took a board position and played an advisory roll for a short time.

Betwext is a online mass text messaging service.  The company makes it easy for businesses and organizations to collect phone numbers of customers and prospects.  They provide online messaging software to send group texts to various lists.  The service is used extensively by Restaurants, Churches, Medical Marijuana dispensaries, and consultants!

After 3 years of watching the founder lose money and toss aside opportunity after opportunity, Brian backed a plan by management to sell the company.

Brian coached management and the founder about the best way to sell the business.  Unfortunately, after six months of searching, the management team failed to find a serious buyer.

After watching the company flounder for another six months, Brian took action.  Betwext Marketing

He recruited the other outside board member (a significant investor) and proposed a transition to management.

Brian and his partner would take over the business, including all outstanding debt, relieving the founder and management of their financial obligations.  Brian’s team agreed to step in and take full control of the business.  After reaching an agreement in principal, Brian’s team took control of betwext.com in January of 2016.

In the first 6 months of controlling and working on betwext.com, Brian and his team had:

  • identified and fixed more than 30 system coding errors,
  • fixed and updated the billing system,
  • kicked off more than 50 customer accounts who were freeloading on the system,
  • updated social media accounts,
  • revamped the company’s entire marketing strategy,
  • and changed product pricing – not once, but twice –  to optimize revenue!

As a result, in the first year the business was under Brian’s control, the company posted a jump in revenue of 183.3%.   And after 10 months of work, the company posted it’s first monthly profit!

Currently Brian is working to expand the customer base and maximize profitability for the business.
